BLACK PAIN UNFOLD
J.R. Blessington, a current public servant of Cleveland, OH, is another vessel the Almighty chose to use. Growing up in Silent Hill Jamaica, J.R. tried to ignore his godly gift of music. Microphones were placed in his hand from the time he was wearing a nappy, to hearing his brother, Bushy, singing on sound systems. J.R.’s talent was seen then & even more now with his conscious spiritual uplifting. He was encouraged daily by an elder to move to Kingston. Shortly after doing so, in 1988, J.R. came to realize the music business is tough. J.R. turned to playing fútbol, woodworking & bus driving before migrating to the United States.

After getting accustomed to the American system, J.R. began driving city buses where he sang for passengers. Attending Reggae concerts, all he saw were groups covering songs instead of building on the foundation. While J.R. continued supporting Reggae artists in Cleveland, he decided to pick up the microphone again. J.R. has released “Son of the Soil” (2014), “Hope” (2018) and “Forward Movement” (2022). Next up is “Black Pain Unfold,” soul filling music and a spiritual vibration from the gifted soul.

Hail from the only place in Jamaica where 4 parishes meet, Silent Hill, righteousness is what J.R. BLESSINGTON speaks. His gifts were recognized at a tender age by the elders In the community, his conscious positive lyrics as a kid, ability to play the drums in church, and DJing are just a few. Young J.R.BLESSINGTON learned how difficult it was for someone to get into the music industry, leading him to pursue another one of his gifts, football. He then migrated to the United States where he realized he had to serve his Godly purpose of serving the people with his gift of positive, uplifting, spiritual, conscious music.
